Incredibly stylish. The Old.No. 77 has curated a particular niche very well. NOLA is a place you want to belong to and the 77 lets you feel in on the cool. The front staff were very welcoming, recommended restaurants, and calling us a taxi! The artsy doesn't end at the door. It's in the painted pipes and the little touches. Wander the halls and see! We were very impressed with the conditions in both room and restaurant. Not a speck of dust, even on exposed pipes. Bathroom was immaculate and adorable. Great shower and doors. The bed was lovely and windows huge. The crowds were right there but the heavy soft curtains blocked all street light and muffled noise. The added metal tray with custom-picked bar items, snacks, and cute romance pack was inspired, and the prices fair. The Old 77 lives up to all hype. There are hotels all over the city, and you can't go wrong on location in this city, but the Old No 77 really is special. We'll be back. Compete Lupin is a gem! The staff described each dish lovingly, and recommended food and paired wines just right. The fried chicken and creamy grits put a spell on my Southern husband.

The hotel has a super cool vibe and we loved all the art and the brick. Make sure you check that you're getting a room with actual windows to the outdoors if that's important to you (I had to cancel and rebook one with actual windows as we would have been claustrophobic). The front desk staff were all fantastic to deal with and even helped us figure out a super impromptu trip to a broadway musical (Mrs. Doubtfire which was amazing!). The beds were comfortable and the room was clean for the most part. I feel like the rooms were a decent value for what you get. You're in walking distance of quite a bit if you want to stroll. I appreciated that the entrance to the building and the elevators all required your key card given that the area didn't feel the safest.

The hotel staff were cordial and pleasant, and always helpful when I had a question. The housekeepers were always quick to move their carts so I could pass in the hallway without my asking. One man - Housekeeping? Maintenance? - always had a broad grin for me and gave me many Mardi Gras beads that had been abandoned in rooms. They all made me feel welcome. I appreciated the unique character and personality of the building and I enjoyed the art gallery. I was able to easily walk to good restaurants in the immediate area and to the French Quarter.

This hotel was a big surprise for my daughter and I, to be honest we didn't remember how the hotel was supposed to look like. When we got there, we found that this is an architectural jewel as my daughter said. It was really cool to stay in a hotel that still keep its original infrastructure. Every inch of the building was beautiful. We loved the room because it was big and had a pretty cool aesthetic overall. The hotel was also really close to the main New Orleans attractions, but on a peaceful street.

Oh my gosh, the smells! Before we even stepped foot inside the pregnant wife said something smelt amazing. It was here. The elevators smelt amazing, like rich mahogany. I can’t say I’ve ever noticed that before but we did every time! Our 7yr old even commented on the smell of the elevators. Location was good, close enough to everything to walk. There’s a bar/restaurant attached which was cool. Ice maker/water not far from the room. View out the windows was towards Harrahs which was also fun.
